Krystn is passionate about creating an equitable, inclusive, and accessible community. She has more than a decade’s experience in research and works with individuals who identify with a disability across the lifespan. Krystn holds a PhD in Exercise and Sport Psychology from the University of Toronto. She specializes in qualitative and mixed methodologies, using participatory and arts-based approaches to working with equity-seeking populations.

Tammy is a dedicated professional with over 25 years of experience in Sport Administration, Therapeutic Recreation, and Special Events Coordination. Her passion for sports drives her advocacy for physical activity, wellness, and sportsmanship, leading her to collaborate with community leaders and educational institutions to create inclusive opportunities for all. Tammy is committed to enhancing the lives of individuals with varying abilities by designing programs that prioritize their well-being and holistic development. Her work emphasizes empathy, patience, and adaptability when engaging with diverse populations.

I played Challenger Baseball and Sledge Hockey for 12 years. I am also the founder and host of Cable 14’s Above and Beyond.

I am a parent from the Ron Joyce Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital community. 

My daughter has multiple physical disabilities and our family has spent the last 7 years digging up opportunities for her to get active in the Hamilton community. I'm an educator by training with a lot of personal experience in sport but very little in the accessible sport community.

My vision for HASC is to find or create meaningful ongoing athletic opportunities for children like ours in the Hamilton community, and to actively share knowledge about those opportunities among parents, caregivers, and departments within Hamilton Health Sciences that recommend active lifestyles for pediatric patients with a range of needs.
